One story is from a 2008 crash when a CMV driver ran into the back of a school bus, ejecting one student and sending more than a dozen kids to the hospital. “The CMV driver was distracted by drinking a soda and did not see the school bus, which was stopped with its lights flashing and its stop-arm extended.” Fortunately, none of the injuries were life-threatening.
